The 12-tester/14-day requirement is complete; Google Play may still take a short while to enable the closed alpha after you join the group. If Play Protect blocks the install, stop there and email [email protected] — we'll sort it out with Google before you install.

Frequently asked

- Yes. Tester access is free, and no credit card is required.
- Which build should I install?
- TinyBeacon 1.6.8 is the current tester build. iPhone testers use TestFlight; Android testers can install from Google Play once the production listing is live or use the closed alpha track.
- How does iOS 1.6.8 reach testers?
- Internal testers receive iOS 1.6.8 immediately. The external Public Beta group receives it after Beta App Review. Until approval, the App Store listing remains on version 1.3.2.
- How do I join Android 1.6.8?
- Android 1.6.8 is going to Google Play production at 100% and the closed alpha track. The 12-tester/14-day requirement is complete. Install from Google Play once production is live, or join the Google Group and use the closed-test opt-in link.
- Where should I send feedback?
- Use TestFlight feedback on iPhone or email [email protected] on either platform.
- Do the 1.6.8 test builds collect screenshots or screen content?
- No. The iPhone TestFlight build and the Android closed-alpha build do not collect screenshots or screen content.
- Do the public builds collect screenshots or screen content?
- No. The iPhone TestFlight beta and the public Android build do not collect screenshots or screen content. A separate supervised Android build can collect periodic screen captures only after a parent or legal guardian gives consent for that specific safeguard and Android grants the screen-sharing permission. Each frame is transmitted over HTTPS to TinyBeacon's screenshot-analysis service for a transient safety check; only frames assessed as medium risk or higher are retained, encrypted for the parent's devices. The child can see when screen sharing is active. Withdrawing consent stops collection and removes the associated data. The supervised build is installed directly and is not the public Google Play app.
- Can 1.6.8 features change?
- Yes. Test builds can change, and a feature may be delayed or unavailable while we learn.
